Jump into a futuristic tale of a man's dream of flying a ship of his own design. Captain Frank Walker is a brilliant, but disillusioned engineer working for the military, and his prototype designs are routinely dismissed by the brass. The story begins as another design is dismissed, but some one else has taken an interest in Frank Walker, and his designs.
This website is dedicated to the title ship of this series, the E.R.S Cassiopeia and the universe in which she sails. As Steven and Detra Swem work on writing the books, I (Benjamin Swem) have taken on the task of designing the ship based on my Steven's vision. I will be working to create, in 3d, every aspect of the ship. The hallways, corridors, rooms and tunnels that make up the Cassiopeia.
Click on the Manual button in the top bar next to the Home button to find detailed information about the various rooms and systems that make up the ship.
You can return to the main Voldamar Books website at any time by clicking on the black Voldamar Books button in the sidebars to the left or right.
The Galleries (link in the top bar) contains images related to the development of the ship.

|Armor Plating:||Thermodium Skin. Cassiopeia has an armor rating above 10, placing her rating similar to what you would find on space station battle platforms. Well above even battleships.
This armor rating comes from more than just her hull plating. The entire structure of the ship contributes to her armor rating as her entire super-structure is made of the same Thermodium material as the layers of her skin.
|Weapons Compliment:||This is not equipped with any defensive or offensive weaponry as of books 1-3. Frank is considering the idea of adding defensive weapons at a later date.|
|Shuttle Capacity:||Maximum of 4 Shuttle-craft at first launch. One in each of the main side hangar bays and 2 on the flight deck.|
|Shuttle Compliment:||One Thermodium Shuttle-craft. One standard mid-range, general purpose shuttle-craft store in one of the side maintenance bays.|
|Cargo Capacity:||Cassiopeia's cargo capacity varies depending on the mission she is on and the state of her construction.
As of books 1-3, Cassiopeia has an estimated total cargo capacity of around 56,898 Square Feet. This does not include smaller general storage closets scattered around the ship.
All cargo storage rooms have extended ceilings which are 10.75 feet above the floor.
Cargo Areas for books 1-3 are;
|Gravity Generation:||Series of miniature gravity generators positioned underneath the deck plating of most walkways. Gravity generators and distribution conduits supply the ship with precision gravity control to most of the habitable areas of the ship.|
|Waste Management:||A dedicated waste management facility located on deck six, aft section.|
